This website was set up by blues & boogie-woogie pianist Christian Ries to facilitate blues and jazz bands from Luxembourg and the Greater Region to find venues for their live gigs.

Venues that have not behaved correctly towards artists and/or have not adhered to agreements have been banned from this site to prevent other artists from being cheated.

The website sounds.lu is hosted by Think! a.s.b.l. at sitesitting.eu.
The site was implemented using open-source web resources. The site uses the CMS WordPress combined with the Gridalicious theme, the maps being produced with the OSM plugin displaying maps from OpenStreetMap.
The map pointer icon with the eighth note has been adapted at Pixel perfect from www.flaticon.com and is licensed by CC 3.0 BY.

This site stores in a MySQL database the following general publicly available information about venues: name, address, type and size of venue, stage presence, longitude, latitude, homepage and facebook page if available.
This site does not store information on any person.
